The purpose of the Website is to enable tennis players to contact each other to arrange tennis matches. By accepting this Privacy Policy you are agreeing that the information you provide to Jeannie Limited can be shared with other REGISTERED PLAYERS and Jeannie Limited for the purposes of organising tennis matches.

Jeannie Limited takes the privacy of your personal information very seriously and will use your information only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We will not share your personal details with third parties which may lead to unsolicited marketing activities, nor sell or rent your personally identifiable information. However, with your consent, there might be optional and limited circumstances in which some of your information will be shared with third parties, under strict restrictions, so it is important for you to review this Privacy Policy.

We may use combined information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us to develop the website and our Services and may provide such combined information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

From time to time we may want to contact our customers either directly or via third parties for market research purposes so that we can further enhance the Jeannie products and Services.

Contact and diary information may be shared with a host club so that they can contact players if, for example, courts become available at times that are convenient to the player. Similarly a host club (or Jeannie) may invite players to enrol on group tennis events or enter tournaments.

Jeannie will use your email address to send you alerts when you have unread messages in your Tennis Jeannie Message Inbox, or to remind you to book a court for an upcoming match or to alert you to other essential operations relating to the core Tennis Jeannie functionality. It is essential that Jeannie has your current email address so as to be able to deliver the Service.

From time to time Jeannie Limited may develop new features to the Website. News of these new facilities may be communicated by email, post, SMS or telephone. Even if you opt out of receiving all other communication from us we may still contact you with information about the operation and use of Tennis Jeannie.

The Website may contain hyperlinks to other third party websites. Jeannie Limited is not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. We advise you to read the privacy statements of any website you visit.

Although our Website may be used by children to organise tennis matches this should be with parental supervision and permission in accordance with this Privacy Policy and specifically the section on Children (hyper link to Children section). For children under the age of 14 we operate a parental consent verification process.

Jeannie News

We have a Jeannie newsletter (Jeannie eNews) which contains updates on functionality of the Website, information on tournaments, hints and tips about usage of the Website and which may contain advertising from our carefully selected partners.

You may opt out of receiving our newsletter however, in doing so, you may miss out on useful information about the Website and Service.

Children under 14

The Tennis Jeannie Website and Services enables tennis players to contact each other in order to arrange tennis matches. We take the safety of children very seriously and ask that a parent or guardian familiarise themselves with our Website and Services, including our Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy before giving permission for a child to use our Services. Specifically, parents or guardians should not allow children to use the Services to contact or arrange to meet other players without supervision. We strongly encourage parents or guardians to inform their children about safe use of the internet and website services. When a child under the age of 14 attempts to register with Tennis Jeannie, we will ask the parent or guardian to consent to the child registering with Tennis Jeannie.

We operate a verification procedure to verify a parent or guardian’s consent. This may require a parent or guardian to provide a contact telephone number so that we may speak to them directly. We may also ask for additional information in order to verify parental consent or identity. Such information shall only be used to verify parental consent and for no other reason whatsoever.

The terms of this Privacy Policy and the way in which we process, store and protect personal information applies to information about children in the same way as it does to adults. This means we will not ask for more personal information than is necessary for a child to participate in the Services that Jeannie Limited provides and we take the security of data very seriously.

The parents or guardian of a child can review, edit, and delete information relating to their child's account using tools offered by “My Account”.

Note that we can not delete entirely User Acounts for players that have participated in tournaments otherwise we loose the tournament result data. We mark accounts as Live and Lapsed. If a player wishes to be removed from Tennis Jeannie they should delete all personal information from their My Account and notify Jeannie Support who will mark their user account as lapsed.

When an existing junior player reaches the age of 17 their user account on any Junior website will be marked as lapsed at the end of the then current box league round. In the case of Junior Virtual Club websites the player’s user account and personal details will be transferred to the corresponding Senior Virtual Club website. All players so affected will be notified at the time and be given the option to have their new user account on the Senior Virtual Club deleted.

Changes to this Statement

Jeannie Limited may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will notify you either by placing a prominent notice on the home page of our website or by directly sending you notification. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we are helping to protect personal information we collect.
